The Last Song

It is almost 2 AM.  My body is on some wack schedule.  I am not sure why.
I took advantage of it and decided to watch a movie.
I watched The Last Song and cried.
Nicholas Sparks does that to me.
In A Walk to Remember I cried the last 100 pages.  I don't really cry in the movie, though.  Maybe because I like the book so much better.

I'm back at school.  Less than two months until the end!  I'm ready to be done.
Break was amazing.  It was also too short.

Pride and Prejudice

I know I know...I just blogged yesterday and nothing hugely monumental has happened since then...BUT I am in such an international mood.  It is slightly crazy!  I feel like I am everywhere except here.  Here being my bed.
I just got a post on facebook from a friend in Greece that I met in Germany with whom I flew to England.  Earlier I looked through a book of 100 or so countries.....the world is an incredibly beautiful place!
And, I have been having a semi-crisis as I don't know what I will do after I graduate.  For a while I was fine just being content where I was, but that did not last long.  Today I have a bajillion ideas (exaggeration) and am greatly looking forward to the future!
The sun is shining (why am I inside?)!

Last night Mama and I watched the first half of the long Pride and Prejudice. Love it!
Dr. Gentry has mentioned it a few times in class....It would be interesting to watch him watch this movie.  I think we should have a Humanities Pride and Prejudice Party some Saturday afternoon and evening!

Spring Break!

Just another typical Saturday.  I am still in my Pajamas and have just finished writing my homework list.
I guess it is not my typical Saturday because a few things are different.
-I'm HOME!
-It's spring break!!!
-My homework is not due next week.
-I finally get to begin working on my short story next week!
-I have cuddled with my kitties, watched the Nanny/I Love Lucy, eaten cereal and birthday cake (Mama's birthday!), kind of scheduled my classes for next semester, looked at a grad school, listened to music, and haven't been very productive...yet.
-The temperature outside is 65 degrees...in VA!  I saw snow on the mountain tops yesterday!

Yesterday I met my sweet cousin Amelie Alexis for the first time! She is precious! Her tiny little mouth is so sweet! She has a full head of dark hair and the tiniest little fingers.

Isabelle is getting so big and is talking much more!  Her hair is sooo blonde and curls.

I adore being home.  It is peaceful settling into the everydayness that doesn't require too much from me.  A refreshing breathe of relaxation with some busyness.

Dirndl Day

Oh Germany, sweet Germany!
Today I had the immense pleasure of being able to dress in my German dirndl with Hannah and Kathryn!  It was such fun to walk around looking like traditional Bavarian girls.  I'm pretty positive some people thought we were crazy...especially if they happened to be looking out the windows as we twirled in front of Fisher just because we could.
I had one person ask me if I would twirl around and sing "the hills are alive with the sound of music."  Considering I was in the student center at the time I told them I would twirl but if they wanted to hear me sing then they would have to watch it on the internet.  See, I have already done that once...on a Bavarian Alp ; )

The reason we dressed in traditional garb is that this week is World Christian Week at school.  This is my favorite four/five days of the school year!  We spend it focusing on the world and different cultures!
I will be honest, when the week began I was feeling indifferent because in the past year so many things have changed that I do not know where I am supposed to live or what I am to do in the future.  However, last night while praying I acknowledged that when God wants me to know He will make it clear.  Until then I must keep pushing forward and be content where I am.  So, I am going to enjoy World Christian Week and look forward to the future...whether my future is in Europe, the United States, or elsewhere...that is up to God.
Tomorrow is Prayer Day and I am soooo excited : D  I love Prayer Days....especially during World Christian Week!

I am a tad behind this week so I am now going to catch up.
Auf Wiedersehen!
